SMOOTH
Wanted to try out some magnetic switches and I do not regret getting this keyboard at all. Out of the box everything is in perfect working order. The build quality is great!Everything feels super sturdy and the wood accents on the edges do not feel cheap. The included key caps are made of decent plastic and don't have any gross shine through from the RGB. The switches feel sooo smooth and creamy making the typing experience amazing. The overall footprint is about the same as the membrane Logitech MX mini I was using before. All-in-all, a great little boardThe only complaint I have is that I would have liked more robust lighting options, but what's here is fine. Theres plenty of modes to switch through, just nothing really looks quite right with this design. I'm not huge on RGB anyway so it will mostly just remain static.

Blown Away – This Should Cost Twice as Much
I’m honestly amazed—and a little disappointed—I waited so long to get a Keychron. Setup was effortless, and the sound and feel right out of the box are incredible. I had everything ready to disassemble and lube it, but something told me to just try it first. I’m so glad I did.If this had a big-name brand on it, it would easily sell for $250–$300+. I use my computer heavily, and without double-shot keycaps, I usually wear off the legends in under a year. These keycaps feel solid, and the overall build quality is premium. The software is web-based and pushes settings straight to the board—no bloated RGB apps needed. Typing is smooth, the sound is satisfying, and what you hear in videos doesn’t do it justice. It sounds this good without lubing. It’s solid, heavy, user-repairable, and the company encourages that. This isn’t just good for the price—it’s great, period.

Skip the Best Buy Brands, this is True Top Quality
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Keychron makes some of the best high quality keyboards you can find. This was a perfect fit with my Steam Deck and for my work labtop. Having the option to chose either a 2.4gz, Bluetooth, or wired connection is luxurious. The keys feel amazing and the magnetic mechanical keys are a step up from the old cherry style. Great for both typing and gaming. I don't know that I will buy another keyboard not named Keychron ever again.

Highly configurable, great looks, pleasant clacking sound
This is my second mechanical keyboard and after a day of use I’m so glad I purchased this K2 HE. It looks great and matches nicely with my wooden office desk. The Keychron web based UI for configuring the keyboard is really easy to use and let me quickly customize the keyboard actuation depth and remap some of the keys. The keyboard has all the different connectivity options you would want and so far has been flawless on both wired and 2.4ghz connections. I’m using it on a Windows PC and it was trivial to replace the 3 Mac keycaps with Windows keycaps that were included with the keyboard. They keycaps and stabilizers appear to be great quality for the price and the sound is very pleasant and clacky without being annoying or pingy. I highly recommend this keyboard if you like the wood accent look and want a very software customizable keyboard that sounds great out of the box.

Phenomenal Keyboard WITH EXCEPTIONS
Aesthetics: Absolutely beautiful keyboard. The wood accents are such a nice touch and really make this keyboard stand out.LEDs: I think all modern keyboards have good RGB lighting/effects, and this one is no exception. The only downside is that the keycaps are NOT shine-through 😭. Honestly, it's not the biggest deal. I turned off the LEDS and now the battery lasts forever. Also, if you hold 'fn +B', it lights up the number keys to indicate the battery percentage. Super cool).Switches: This one is subjective, of course. The default keys feel good overall, and I get compliments on the sound it makes. I even got one over a Discord call 😂. For me, the switches feel a bit hard to press, so I replaced them with the DAWN version of the Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switch. I expected it to be quite a bit softer, but unfortunately, I barely noticed a difference. Please DO NOT waste your money on them. They're also hard to find (sold out almost everywhere).Connection: 2.4GHz and wired both work fine. I didn't notice any latency issues with wireless, the only way I've been using this keyboard. I'm also a huge gamer (FPS, RPGs, etc).Build/Size: Solid build overall. It has a nice and heavy weight to it (not good for portability). Key caps and switches are easily removable (comes with the tool).Software: I haven't used it much besides changing the travel distance of the magnetic switches. The only (minimal) downside is that the keyboard must be plugged in to update the configuration.Overall, I highly recommend this keyboard (even with the two issues I mentioned).
