Really exceeded my expectations for the price. I bought it for my "Museum of Forgotten Formats" -- records, cassettes and 8-tracks! As it turns out, the 8-track tapes fit perfectly in the bottom drawer, and cassettes fit in the top drawer (which isn't as deep due to the shelf above it). The turntable looks great on top, and is the perfect height (that's why I ordered this tall cabinet). The side cabinets were perfect for the records, but for some reason there are no holes for the adjustable shelves for about six inches between the two sets of holes. In order to put records on the top and bottom shelves, I had to drill new holes. Now it holds a TON of records.But getting away from my very specific application, this is a really nice looking piece of furniture. I put it together myself in a little over an hour. Do use an electric screwdriver to speed up the process (you'll need Phillips and Allen hex bits), but be careful with those things that turn 180 degrees to grab onto the bolt thingees. My screwdriver was a little too powerful and kept over-turning them. Also, the screws are different lengths for the knobs for the doors and drawers, even though the knobs are identical. Stick the screw through the hole, and it should extend out about a quarter of an inch. Any more or less and you've got the wrong screw. Also, the knobs have small extensions designed to dig into the wood to keep the knobs from turning. Don't spin the knob onto the screw, or you'll mar the wood. Position the knob, and then pull it into place with the screw. When you put the back panels in place, don't push them as high as they will go in the slot. If you do, it conceals one of the screw holes. On that subject, the instructions (yes, mine came with detailed instructions contrary to what some of the reviews say) state that there are pre-drilled holes for the back panels. I went crazy looking for them, to the point I thought I might have put the cabinet together backwards. There are no holes in the wood; the instructions are referring to the holes in the panels.Amazon offers an assembly service that costs almost as much as the cabinet. I thought that was ridiculous until I pulled everything out of the box and saw what a project it would be. At that point, the assembly service was looking pretty good. But it was easy to assemble, and provided a sense of accomplishment. Go for it.

This is a beautiful, solid wood, TV stand. My TV is mounted to the wall above it, rather than sitting on it, so I can’t speak to it’s weight capacity, but it looks well made and like it would have no problem supporting a 60” TV.It blends well with my other furniture, which have various dark mahogany stained finishes. It appears to be made from a soft wood, possibly pine.I received the item in two days due to Amazon Prime. It was shipped via UPS ground in one extremely large box and weighed just under 100 pounds. I was worried that the item would be damaged because it had a large gouge in one side of the box. The gouge went through the outer box and the styrofoam packing material inside, but luckily didn’t damage the TV stand. It was very well packed with the boards and other items separated by foam sheets and the entire bundle was then wrapped in heavy plastic. This was then surrounded entirely by styrofoam, and finally the box.All the hardware was included, although screwdrivers and a hammer came in handy. It went together smoothly and the directions that were included in the box were easy to follow.Overall I’m very happy with the item and think it looks great.

I love the look of our new entertainment center. The wood is a beautiful rich chocolate brown and I cannot get over how well it works for our living room. With it being taller that our old TV stand, there was some concern for it tipping over but it is a solid structure. The tracking for the shipment was not accurate being it said it was to come in on the 2nd of January but it arrived on the 28th of December. Happy it came early but even more glad I had someone home when it arrived. Obviously it was a large package that could easily be seen from the street. The assembly was pretty straightforward but it is a 2 person job. Thankfully it came with additional hardware that is clearly marked at extra pieces. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a 5 star review is the back panels to the stand are very flimsy. I can easily see it breaking if someone pulls on the wires the wrong way. Other than that, I love the new piece to our home decor.
