Do these work with the le 2835 non-waterproof led strips? also how? not having luck
The description states "not dimmable". If I have led light strips that are rated dimmable, why won't this connector work?
Why does it say NON-Waterproof, but then references Waterproof in Features?
Do you have a connector for strip to strip?

Yes! These work.

This is a “I never write reviews” review, but I’m hoping I can save someone some aggravation since I did everything wrong to start with and had to learn the hard way.1) Open both sides of the clips as wide as they’ll go (which is probably wider than you think) before you try to use them. If you don’t, it’s easy to accidentally close both sides when you’re just trying to close one, and this will make you sad because opening them after they’re snapped shut is NOT FUN.2) Peel back the 3M tape from the lights before you insert them in the clip. This is probably one of those things everyone but me knows, but I’m throwing it out there.3) Double check the polarity before you insert the wires into the other side of the clip. Again, reopening these things IS NOT FUN. (I found it was easier to insert the tape first and then the wires, but it doesn’t really matter as long as you’re careful to keep +/- straight.)4) Do NOT strip the wires before inserting them in the clip. They will not stay in the clip properly if they’ve been stripped, and the resulting weak connection might make you say bad words as you try to figure it out. The clip will pierce the wires sufficiently without stripping, and the resulting connection will be the better for it.What I found (again, after doing all these things wrong) is that if you do these things RIGHT, the clips work perfectly and are worth every penny. I haven’t tried soldering, but given how teeny tiny the connections are on the led tape I was using, I think my middle-aged eyes and dexterity are better suited to the clips.

Better than most

These connectors are the best of the worst. All of these type connectors are cheaply made and it shows when you try to use them. It took three of them before I got one that worked. I had intermittent connections with the original connectors and after using these no more problems, fingers crossed !

This is the cats meow!

These connectors allowed me to use the sections I had to cut off because you can’t turn sharp corners with tape LED lighting. I was reluctant after reading some of the bad reviews, but after reading the positive reviews I decided to give it a try otherwise I’d have to throw my remnants away. I’m glad I did they work like a dream. If you’re familiar with the old “ scotch locks” wire splice/tap it’s the same principle. I cut the tape light just before the place indicated giving you ample area for the probes to puncture the copper printed circuits. I used 18ga red and green to visually keep polarity correlated. You’ll probably need to open the connector wide for the tape light and insert it ALL the way in, make certain the sharp barbs are piercing the copper circuits. I’ve been an electrical technician for 47 years I’ve seen junk these are not junk, they’re single use if you miss the puncture points in the printed circuits cut it off start again and avoid the same mistake. You need a good pair of pliers to push lock down onto the tape light and the two wires down into the knife blades until the two plastic locks on both sides snap locked. Hope it helps, its been my experience your tools are only as good as the user once you get it you’ll see these are neat solutions!!

No matter what I try they just don’t work

I wasted $40 on these and they simply don’t work. I ordered a second spool if better quality wire to make sure I was using the right gauge as described in the listing for these connectors, and it still didn’t work. They’re a total waste of time and money. I can’t tell if it’s the wires that aren’t making contact inside of the connector or if it’s the punch through connectors for the strip side. I read all the reviews, even tried them upside down as one guy suggested, and nothing. No lights turned on at all, not even an inconsistent connection. Maybe there’s a reason the seller only offers 30 day returns on these. I’m really busy with caring for small children and didn’t have time to quickly test every conceivable way to make these work, and now that I have and they still fail to do anything at all the return window has closed. Avoid these at all costs and just learn how to solder instead. It’s much less frustrating than trying to use these connectors.

Hit and miss

I've gotten a few packs of these and the connection works about half the time so make sure you check each one as you go. Plus the hinge often breaks and the flap separates. Not a huge deal because it's still useable. I'll continue to purchase these because it's a useful piece and I have a feeling anyone selling them is going to have the same product issue.

Love these!

I install many LED tape systems a month. These have really saved me time on the installation and are much more robust than the OEM connectors. A little pricey at a buck a piece.

Difficult to work with

These connectors hold tight once they're installed. However great care is necessary to get it right! The wire side of the connection is made difficult because there is no slot inside the connection, you have to lay the wire directly above the metal tab for each wire then close the connection. Not hard if you're working on a table, try it on a ladder! The led strip side is easier, however care must be taken to make sure the tabs are not bent and the strip tape covering the sticky is removed before closing the connection. Most important test your connections as they may look good but the insulation on the wire may not have been cut through or the pionts may not have gone through the led strip!

great product!

i dont know what adhesion its talking about to rate but other than that this is working great. i am using it to connect multiple lines of 2pin white lights for under shelf work lighting b/c i like the ability to dim the lights easily. my project isnt completed yet but i attached a picture of how i want to kinda lay it out. they connect to both wires and strip light very well and stays a solid connection. you cant go wrong with these handy connectors
