So good that I ordered a second for another set of lights, and may order a third!For those of you wondering, this does have a physical switch / dimmer you can use without your phone. There's a single button that you tap to turn the lights on and off, or hold down to dim/brighten (it starts going one direction until it maxes out then goes the other direction).Wifi setup was very simple, and, while I haven't looked into the fancier settings yet, the basic controls on the app more than meet my needs of manual on/off and a brightness slider. I've made use of the timer feature as well to make sure we don't forget to turn the lights off after a night of partying.The construction seems solid and pretty rugged. I expect it will last a long time, even outside. I also like that it provides a slot to hook onto a screw or nail for easy wall mounting.My one suggested update is to have a longer power cord. Unless you have an outlet within about a foot of where you want this switch to be, you'll need an extension. In my particular scenario, we had to run an extension along the side of the house. That extension goes to a triple outlet staked into the ground because I need at least 2 switches at this location and want to keep the connections off the ground to avoid potential issues with puddles. However, if I connect this switch directly to that staked outlet it will only be about 1.5 feet off the ground, which is pretty inconvenient for using the physical button. This means that I need to either live with that; buy and install another 3-6 ft outdoor extension, causing a setup of extension -> landscape outlet -> extension -> switch -> extension -> lights; mount the switch and leave the outlet hanging (ghetto and probably not 100% weather safe); or, hopefully, find a different cheap outdoor splitter that can be mounted to the wall right beneath the switch. I feel like the power cord should be 3-4 ft, which is long enough to go from the floor, where most extension cords reside, to a normal & convenient height to use the button.

The media could not be loaded. I am so happy that I bought this smart dimmer for our porch string lights! All I wanted was a plug with on/off switch so that I didn’t have to plug/ unplug the wire with each time of use. When I saw the dimmer and smart options I gave it a try!This is so cool and you will know by watching my video! Feels like I should have bought it along with my lights. The remote control use through smart WiFi connection surprisingly works from anywhere in my house or even if I am away! My entire family especially the kids were in awe when we easily controlled the lights through the TreatLife app! The initial set up was super easy and the instructions were very clear! The device looks durable and weatherproof. Will update if any different.Lights at different levels created the moods for the different occasions! I definitely recommend using a dimmer to get the full use of the lights. LED lights (Solatec LED String Lights, Shatterproof ) didn’t even flicker once. TreatLife App has many features like to set timer, schedules, control multiple devices etc. After using the voice control, I wanted to go smart on more plugs and switches in my house. My Alexa is at a different location so I installed google voice + google home to use the voice control on my IPhone. I tried connecting to the Home app and Siri on IPhone and didn’t work. The package only says about Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice controls and integrated fully.It is also very nice that the dimmer works both smart and manually. The on/ off switch on the dimmer itself can be used to power the lights on/ off. Dimmer feature can also be used manually by pressing continuously on the on/ off button until the desired level is achieved.

The media could not be loaded. I got this Treatlife DP10 Smart Dimmer Plug to use on my night light in our bed room. Less than 15 minutes after opening the package all installation, including Alexa was completed and was fully functional. Following the instructions, I installed the free app from Treatlife, introduced the device to our home wifi network in a few minutes and controlling the dimmer plug via my smart phone was possible. To integrate with our Alexa, I also installed the skill provided by Treatlife and it was a go. Now, I control the dimmer mostly via Alexa. 3 different uses possible:1- Use the manual control on the smart dimmer plug itself: One quick push turns it on to the brightness where you left, another quick push turns it off. If you keep pushing, it dims all the way down if it was dimmed up or dims all the way if it was dimmed down. This is the hardest way to use for me as the smart dimmer plug is behind our headboard.2- Better, use the Treatlife app on the smart phone. With a single click you can turn on or off it. Or, you can slide the light intensity with your finger, see attached picture. There is also a nice on/off widget to use in hurry on a smart phone.3- The best way to use is via Alexa. Just tell to Alexa to turn it on or off or tell to set the intensity to 75% or just tell to dim with your everyday English.I love it.
