These gloves are great. I use them with my smoker all the time. I can clear out the hot wood box and add another session for more smoke no pain. The other night I had to remove my pizza stone from a 600°F oven. My fingers never even got warm. I'm not going to push my luck and find out if the max temp listed is true. I'm content knowing 600° is no problem. If someone else decides to find out about temps over 1,500° F please let me know. Only complaint, they are a little hard to get all the way on and they look kind of stupid in my opinion

This was a gift to my husband who loves to cookout and wanted something to use besides oven mitts. They fit well and he said they were superior for protection from high heats while cooking. I purchased a second pair to give as a gift for a relative who smokes meats and I'm sure they will love them also. Worth the purchase price.

These gloves are fantastic for grilling and the oven. They allow so much more dexterity than typical mitts or pads. I like that the sleeve protects my wrists and forearms when I am "deep" into the grill whether cleaning or flipping. My wife has now taken them from my grill domain and place them in a drawer near our ovens. She loves their lightweight and tactile responsiveness when removing baking trays, casserole dishes and hard to grip items. The colors are nice too (I got RED). At least I know where they are when I need them on weekends...The only reason I gave it four stars is that I ordered the shorter wristbands, and the large gloves are more difficult for me to squeeze into. They should make a true XL for men. While bothersome having to tug the palms and fingers on, the are tight enough to make more delicate movements. Regardless, this is a great product unless you like sticking your hands into campfires...and then there's no hope for you anyway.

I never thought there would be this kind and they have been life changing in the kitchen. I feel no heat even when I’m baking at 475*. They are comfortable and easy on and off. Awesome I can literally rinse them out at the sink, no washer/dryer needed. Well worth every penny. I will now be purchasing more for gifts.

I use these more indoors than out. Perfect for removing a heavy and hot dutch oven from a hot oven. The length covers your wrists from getting burned and the grip allows for a confident hold. These make making my sourdough so much easier!

I have a micro bakery and use a conventional oven to bake my sourdough. I score after 5 mins of the dough being in the oven and these kits totally protect my hand and arm from the heat AND give me dexterity to hold the lame! I am sold!!! I have thin but large hands, so if you have more dainty hands the dexterity may not be the same or the glove may not be small enough for you.

Very nice fit, but I still got burnt grilling my tomahawk steak. Holding the bone part of the tomahawk to flip does not protect you from heat from the bone between the rubber skin. Heat still went through between the gloves without the rubber protection. They should have cover the whole hand part with the protective rubber not the shape of the fingers.

These are a great addition to our smoker. We use these almost every weekend. Highly recommended.
