These are a great value for the price, stacking up favorably against some (much pricier but also entry-level) W&N Cotman brushes. These come to a much finer point, and I like that the taper is along the whole length of the bristles, rather than just at the very tip. I also like the shorter bristles, as that makes the tip easier to control. They do however feel like they hold less water than the Cotman, or like I need to swish the brush around in the water to pick more up rather than just dipping. It’s not notable enough to dock points, just an observation. I have not noticed a single hair shed from the brushes, and I really like that the bristle protector tubes will post securely on the back of the handle so that they won’t get lost. Despite being short handle brushes, the handles are still longer than my others, but they still fit in my brush roll. Overall, an amazing set of beginner brushes for a great price.

I honestly didn't expect much from these, but am remarkably surprised! They're not Kolinsky or red sables by any means, but are workable and sturdy brushes that holds the paint well.

I use these brushes frequently and I like them… I noticed in looking at them with my daughter and comparing to a professional brush they are much skinnier than the professional brushes.

I am somewhat new to the watercolor world, but these brushes are by far worth every single penny. I have a few cheap brushes that shed so badly. I wasn’t ready to spend the money on professional grade brushes and I’m glad I didn’t get. These brushes by far exceed expectations. No shedding, hold water amazingly, and hold their shape!

These brushes for the price are amazing so far. Keep a point, balanced well, don't shed so far, and hold quite a bit of water/paint. They aren't W&N or Escoda, but they are pretty darned good. I haven't had them for months so....but I'd buy them again. They seem superior to most of the synthetic brushes I used on paintings I've sold quite a while back. Getting back into it again, so figured I'd give these a try.

The media could not be loaded. You know how you pick up a watercolor brush, and as you’re painting your first project with it, you know it won’t keep its shape? Or it doesn’t hold enough water and you keep having to get more? Or it sheds so badly that you question why it’s even sold at all? These are not those brushes!These brushes hold plenty of water and glide beautifully on the page. It’s honestly like going from hard mode to easy mode with my painting skills! I love these brushes so much that I’m planning on getting the larger set. I just wish they made them in smaller sizes for detailed work. Definitely my favorite brushes that I’ve used!

These are among the best affordable watercolor brushes. I’ve been using them for weeks & I still get a good point. They hold a ton of water, but can lay a thin line without blopping a huge puddle right where you don’t want it. These brushes are always on my table instead of that “backups box” I keep. I also LIVE the short handles. They offer so much more control. Very happy with these.
