Solid Build
I bought this air filter/liquid seperator for use on my CO2 laser so that I could use my shop air compressor for "Air assist". I found it to work quite well. It is not big or heavy and it appears to be well built/sturdy. I attached it to the end of my reel hose right before it attaches to my laser cabinet. I live in a fairly dry climate so there is'nt a lot of moisture build up to begin with but the filtering seems to be good.

Good for $8 - use for tool not tank
I added this to the line that charges my paint sprayer. It works fine, it is not on the tool but at the end of the coiled 15' hose I use on the sprayer, it attached to another hose then to the tank. I is tough enough to get pulled around a bit and was strong enough to tighten to connectors with no leaks. I would recommend this as a good option on the tool side of your setup for added protection for tools that will be affected by water (most) and oil (paint sprayers, blowers, sanders) in the line. I use this in tandem with a much larger oil and water filter on the compressor but I oil my tools a lot and there is oil and may be condensation in my lines due to the heat shifts in my shop.

Servicable.
Worked great for my set-up spraying latex paint for small jobs using standard compressor used for nailer. Filter is serviceable so water trapped can be removed and dried out between jobs. Would not recommend for high humidity climates without pre-filter, would work fine for post filter application IMO.

Nice quality at the threads
Many of these filters have rough threads allowing leaks. This filter was high quality threads and valve. Used very little Teflon pipe tape to seal with no leaks.

Neiko Water & Oil separator works well
I added this to my compressor and it immediately started working, removing mostly water from the line. This really helped me with my paint spraying.

Seems backwards
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the male/female ends should be reversed. I'll need to buy some adapters before I can hook it up and try it.
