Pricey and worth it!
I recently got an "el-cheapo" Hisense model 40H4030F4 40" Roku Tv, and though the picture was great after tweaking various setting the sound from the smallish downward facing speakers was poor for my 77 y.o. ears with quite poor mid-range sensitivity. The is mounted on an articulated wall-mount arm; I noted that if i knelt in front of the TV the sound was much improved, and set out to design a pair of deflectors using FreeCAD, to be "printed" WITH A 3D MSLA printer. Then I ran across the KARE TurboScoops--just what I had envisioned! They are not cheap, in no small part due to their being well-engineered and being "Born in the USA!" (in imported I suspect they'd be $5.99 and rather flimsy). Some reviewers have commented re: the supplied double-sided tape--however I found that after cleaning the mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol the adhesion was great--they will not "go" anywhere. The included instructions call for using "cleaning solution" to prepare the surfaces; a broad term that includes many of today's household cleaners containing "protectants" that behave as lubricants and will work against adhesion. Using the alcohol and allowing it to dry thoroughly will work best.Recommended!

High quality and great design
These work really well at redirecting the speaker output toward you as you watch TV. I don't view these as a soundbar alternative because they do not improve sound, they simply redirect what sound you have. If you want to change the sound from being projected below and behind your TV, and instead project it in front of the TV, then these work great. If your goal is to improve sound quality, then get a soundbar. I love how these work for my TV on my outdoor patio. I can hear the TV at lower volumes and there is far less sound heard behind the TV.

Give it a try, what have you got to lose?
Is it going to replace a soundbar? No. Is it an inexpensive alternative that works well enough? YES. For what these cost, it's worth it. You will notice a difference.

Read specs before you buy
I should have read more into the specs. I needed them to be about 6 inches wider. I went on and put them on. They are easy to put on but it looks like they will come off after a period of time. They are just held on by double sided tape with one contact point

THEY WORK !
My VIZEO has terrible speakers. I have it running through my Yamaha amp.sometimes it's a hassle to have to turn everything on.I have made my own deflectors from PVC and wood for legs then the TV was on a table. Now I have it on the wall. The Turboscoops fit nicely, look great, and speech is crisp.I have hearing loss, and these help a LOT ! Thank You.

Good
These items work pretty well. I first tried a couple of pieces of cardboard to see if that was actually a correct principle, and it was better, so I bought these. They could be a little larger, but the sound difference is very noticeable. Note: these are pretty much made for a wall hung TV because I don’t think there would be enough room if it was on short legs on table.
