Our small 45 pound rough collie Harper Lee is stronger than she looks and pulls so hard on the leash when attached to her collar. She chokes herself and still it has no effect on her, she continues to pull. We always thought harnesses can encourage dogs to pull but decided to try it when she recently pulled completely away from me and could have been hit by a car. I searched for the best harnesses to stop pulling and this was one of the top results. I was surprised by the low price but thought we should give it a try. We've had it a couple months now and what a difference it makes. She no longer pulls our arm from the socket and is much easier to control. She is not bothered by it when doing her "business" on a leash. Its easy to get on and off, even with her long hair. I really recommend this harness if you have a strong-willed dog like we do or just want an easy to use harness to walk your dog. Very good quality! Feels very durable, thick straps, adjustable, padded front. We bought a size Large in the color BLACK for our white 45 pound collie. It also has reflective stitching so its safer and easier to see at night. Once you adjust the straps to fit your dog, then you need only to unbuckle the two straps that go behind their legs up to the harness and you can slip it over your dogs head. There is also a strap/handle that you can hold on to if you need to suddenly control your dog. I feel like this is an amazing value for the money and highly recommend!

The harness is durable. I wish it had a buckle on the portion that goes around the head (only the back straps have buckles), because it is a bit of a pain to put on and take off my dog. That is my biggest regret and the reason I would not buy this again. If your dog is very calm and doesn't have a big head, you're probably fine.

Instead of madly rushing to the next landmark and desperately looking back as he attempts to drag me from the lava seemingly pooling at my feet, a magic wand has passed over him, and suddenly Beau politely trots alongside me like a NORMAL DOG. I cannot say enough good things about this halter (vs. the traditional collar I had been using with my leash).Beau is what I call a teacup pit: he has the traditional barrel belly build, but he may have been the runt of the litter at what is now just 47 pounds. He fits this size L harness as if it were made for him.
