Digitalizing Process
After intensive testing and digitalizing over 50 videotapes, the results for the multi-function camera are very excellent. We will recommend it to all our clients if they need it.

Destroyed my 8mm recording...
Product was slow to open. To close you had to manually close it. Upon removing a rememberable 8mm recording, it destroyed the tape. I'm not happy.

Good condition for technology from the 90's
I have another Sony HandyCam 8mm from 1989. It lost the mechanical ability to adjust for tracking and the camera eventually started eating tapes. Knowing that I have aa box of tapes and no way to play them led me to search for another like player on Amazon. I found this next generation camera/VTR and ordered it. It arrive within days (Thanks, Prime!) but only one of the two batteries will charge and there were no AV and S-Video cables for transfer or TV playback. I'm sure it was a minor oversite, as the camera is in great shape.

Missing important items to convert video to digital. This was the whole point of buying it. . Camcorder was good.
