Yes these are small, but the dimensions are listed in the product description, so I don’t know why some reviewers are surprised by the size. I agree that for very thick hair they are probably not the best choice, however for fine or thin hair they are absolutely perfect. Seeing as most hair products cater to thick luscious hair, it’s nice to finally have something for us baby fine hair girlies. These are on the pricy side but, wow they are high quality and beautiful. They are definitely not cheap looking or feeling. They hold my fine hair back perfect and also go great in updos. They help to add volume and dimension by holding the hair in place, but not down flat. I love them and will be buying them in every color. Made in France.

I have wavy hair and these hold it snuggly. Stay in place all day long. They look gorgeous and are a sturdy thickness. Worth the price! And they are a nice size, on the smaller side.

These sturdy combs are quite nice, but they are smaller than I imagined. Yes, I saw they were only 1 1/2" wide, but I thought that would be about right for my hair. If they were another 1/2", that would be near perfect. The other thing is that they are quite pricey for what they are. On the plus side, they aren't the cheap plastic that you buy in the store that pull your hair when you put them in.

Great combs they are about 1/2 the size a full size comb perfect for pulling bangs back as they are growing out.The colors are lovely and they work well in fine hair.

I’ve had them for almost a week. I have lots of thick hair that is medium length. I find the size is good because if they were any larger, they would stick out from your hair. The hold is good for a workday. On the weekends, I notice if I shift around more, lay down and get back up, or am wearing a hat or helmet, I do need to re-pin them. Highly recommend watching a tutorial for anyone that is having trouble getting them to stay. I definitely notice the quality in the product itself and would consider buying their other products in the future. Will update the review if they do end up breaking.

These Camila of Paris French Hair Side Combs Handmade are just gorgeous in the Onyx color that I ordered. I have used many brands of hair combs over the years, but I must say these are the nicest ones I have ever had. They are so smooth to the touch with absolutely no sharp edges to catch on your hair. The teeth of the combs are just the right length and hold your hair securely so that they stay in all day. Many other brands will fall out of your hair and you lose them, but not these! The width of the combs is just the right size that I like to wear, as I don’t like the really wide ones—-just a smaller accent comb that holds my fine hair securely. I absolutely LOVE the colors and how they are swirled or mixed. The color variations are just lovely, and they shine and catch the light, giving your look a lot of flair! Feel confident in ordering these attractive handmade in Paris hair combs and you will love them as much as I do! I will definitely look for more of them in different colors. I’m a very happy buyer!

The combs are beautiful as expected, however feel like the $5-8 combs I've gotten at the supermarket. For $17 I was expecting them to be made of a more durable material. Unless you're in love with the mother of pearl on these like I was, you can skip this for a cheaper option.
